How do I get Minecraft Windows 10 Edition for FREE! (Mojang News post)

This appears to be an unintentional posting. There is no redeem button on the Mojang account pages at the moment. I'm assuming it'll be there tomorrow upon release.

Edit: The redeem button is now accessible for me and a lot of others! You can look it up! http://i.imgur.com/9j8pupC.png

Works for me: http://imgur.com/km6PcRN

It is so unfortunate for their support department.

I'm able to redeem the button on Microsoft's billing and account page however, it says there is an error. Is there a time limit for redemption for this redemption?

Windows 10 is being rolled out "today"/"tomorrow" according to where you are. I would guess that the button will be accessible at 12:01 on Wednesday morning Sweden time.

You also won't see a redeem button. I can't wait until tomorrow!

For those who need Windows 10:

Manual installation now available here

If you have an addon that allows you to force https, open it in ie as the link is only http.

Instructions:

Download the application.

Run it and follow the steps. It will format your USB drive or disk to allow you to install.

Open the drive you installed it on and then run the installer.

It will be installed and activated automatically.

You can also save an ISO for later use, but make an update in place first to ensure that your key is activated.

I have installed the beta and it's confirmed working and free.

I just downloaded it. minecraft survival games servers to see how optimized the game is. My computer's fans don't bother to start and the CPU is almost idle all of the time.

Are there gameplay differences?

If it's running flawlessly on mobile, you'd expect it to run quite well on PC too:)

It was delivered just now. 22% CPU and 200MB on singleplayer LOL. #NEXTGEN There's a small mouse delay, but the game is stunning. We would like to edit additional settings, like Mip-Mapping or AA. Textures become mushy after a distance and the water glare can be a bit odd. Other than that, I'm happy with the port guys.

there is a noticeable mouse delay when looking around, otherwise looks great

I've noticed the same issue mouse acceleration can be odd as well.

It's a sloppy port at the moment. It runs on C++ so it runs super smooth. However, it needs some tweaking to cater to the PC gamers. At the moment, it appears to be a mobile game.

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question But how do you get it already? Did some users get Windows 10 earlier?
