This year, I completed my Undergraduate studies and graduated with a first in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh.

However, due to refurbishment, I wasn't able to graduate in McEwan hall. Chernobog McEwan hall was closed for refurbishment, so I was able to view it during my second year Probability exam. It wasn't a very good moment to be looking at the artwork on the ceiling.

We chose Usher Hall as a substitute, which is where most chamber music and symphony concerts are held.

We were part of the school for Engineering because of the small size of the informatics class. We received two honorary degrees speeches as a result. I'm not sure what the engineering guy did. The Computer Science speaker got the deal to develop minecraft for the Xbox.

It's a reasonable guess.

One of the unique things about the University of Edinburgh is that we don’t wear a mortarboard cap. Instead, all graduates wear the same cap. When they walk across the stage, the vice-chancellor pats each student on the head.

Fun fact: Piers Sellers offered the cap to be transported into space. Spaceships can explode, so the hat was vital. A university emblem was taken to space and sewn on the hat.

I was booed on the head with a space-hat.

I was able to buy enough tickets for my parents and grandparents. My family visited a few weeks before and we walked together throughout Ireland and the highlands.

I had one ticket left-over and Jammy had a free-morning. Just another wordpress site As a result, I was able to get Jam-Jam, the father of polar bears, first of his name, to come to my graduation.
