One of the most hilarious films of all-time, Man With a Van is a hilarious sequel to the financially disastrous Argyll and Costello classic It's a Wonderful Life. The same clueless American innocence that characterized the earlier film Russell Brand plays the Van Man, the eponymous Van Man, a man who travels back to the present day New York City, where the man falls in love with a young woman who works at a theater. Instead of saving her, he instead decides to run off with her in order to save his struggling company... But will they be able to save their marriage or could Van Man destroy his family and his livelihood along the way?

When your mind is flooded with images of Michael Caine, you probably picture the actor in his most recognizable sequences in A Few Good Men, in which he is the role of a criminal who is about to be executed by authorities. In Man With a Van, though, Caine plays Robert "Bob" Wurzelbacher, a honest former moving truck driver who understands what it's like handling people's possessions and the Van Man himself. As the movie progresses, we get to know more about this unusual man himself, who has quite a good time doing it. He even gets out with his cousin after being informed that the authorities want to see his trucks. When amanwithavanlondon.co.uk moving trucks from across the border decide to stop at his home, things get worse.

Brand portrays the role of the only man who's not afraid of getting his hands dirty literally. After letting two moving companies make a quick retreat out of his home, he gets his own vehicle to complete the remainder of the job. The two movers are awed by his capacity to get the job done quickly and efficiently, even allowing the two trucks he uses to move his belongings to break some of the laws (one of which is related to the size of the front vehicle). When they offer to assist him, Bob realizes that he has more going on within his own life that he ever thought. Yet, despite that, he's still committed to helping others and improving the lives of people around him.

A troubled little girl called Beth is having a hard time adjusting to her new life. She's always being targeted, but she's also very uncertain about her previous life and the person she's expected to become in this new town. She tells her family about moving into Man With a Van, however, they aren't convinced by her tales and she quickly develops a deep fear of the place. The two movers from earlier end up helping her out of a tight spot once they learn of Bob's involvement in the move. They end up saving Beth and making Beth feel secure in her new place.

Eventually, Bob develops feelings for the local girl. Beth begins to work with him and they fall in love. Then something unimaginable happens, which puts their love on the back burner after Bob is laid off from his position at newscorp.

I highly recommend this book if you're someone who's been in a similar position to Bob. It's an excellent read due to the fact that it's realistic and real. It's not a romantic tale like many books, but it's packed with adventures and great lessons. This isn't your run-of-the-mill moving experience, either. There aren't any cute sidekicks, or numerous twists.

I'd suggest this book to those who enjoys funny situations and enjoys an exciting plot. If that's you, then this book is certainly worth taking the time to read. My personal favorite was the moment in the moment that Bob and Beth made the decision to move into a van that belonged to one of their friends. The entire experience was hilarious and made me laugh several times. I'd also like to say that the plot was enthralling. I didn't encounter any major problems with the plot or the characters and it kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Overall, this was a fun book. It's realistic , and I believe readers would strongly recommend it. People who love to travel, like adventure, and simply want to see how other people deal with life in a humorous kind of way should absolutely read Man With a Van by Paul Therien. It's a short and enjoyable read with a quality storyline.
