Experts suggest that playing Wordle or the daily crossword every day is an excellent way to begin your day. It also has long-lasting positive effects on your brain health.

Experts believe that daily word games can aid seniors train their brains and stop cognitive decline and other problems caused by aging.

A renowned expert has told DailyMail.com that younger people playing these games daily are working hard right now, which will help their brains later on.

Experts have no idea of the mechanism, but they have long observed the trend of working out the mind by offering it simple, simple problems to solve and keeping it healthy and active.

Dr Ronald Petersen (left), director of Alzheimer's research at Mayo Clinic, told DailyMail.com that playing daily word games is a positive lifestyle option, much like that of eating a healthy diet and regularly exercise. Dr Jessica Caldwell (right), neuropsychologist at Cleveland Clinic, stated that the games are an easy way to train the brain.

My idea of these kinds of word games is if you like them and they're giving you an opportunity to test yourself, and you can't do it by autopilot, and you must think about it, then it's actually serving a good purpose in terms of promoting your brain health throughout life,' said Dr Jessica Caldwell, a neuropsychologist for Cleveland Clinic.

DailyMail.com was told by Dr Ronald Petersen at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota that he recommends it to patients suffering from problems with memory or thinking.

The main benefit of games is that they are generally fun and people can engage in them without realizing that doing it is benefiting their brain in the long run.

Word games are a favorite activity for a large number of people. Wordle, which was developed by an independent game designer prior to being purchased by the New York Times for seven figures, shows that there is a need for these games.

Add to that the real challenge these games present and the potential learning of new words, phrases and ideas can keep your brain engaged.

To keep your memory and your thinking sharp, the key is really to be challenged and learning to keep your mind sharp,' Caldwell said.

"Those are the only means that you're actually working your brain, you're creating new neural pathways, and you're supporting the old neural pathways and the most important thing is that you can't just be busy.'

Petersen explained that playing these types of games every day is a habitual factor that can affect the health of a person in the near and long-term future, similar to the way regular exercise and a healthy diet can improve health over the long term.

The emergence of Wordle in the last few months has shown that there is an apatite for simple, quick and world-class games within the general population.

He also mentioned that ageing can be enhanced by people. This means that they can take more control over the way that their bodies age and not allow their bodies to age.

Petersen stated, "Don't just sit back and let things fall apart physically and mentally."

Petersen believes that this is due to 'plasticity' in the brain.

The brain's plasticity is the capacity for the brain, and the neural networks which make it up to expand and grow in time.

Petersen believes that regular exercise can stimulate neurons and boost their flexibility which could help stop cognitive decline.

Petersen declared that this principle could also be applied to video games, but simple word games are often free from some of the negative aspects.

A video game, like popular games like Minecraft and Call of Duty, can help activate neurons, and can even help train their visual and audio response to stimuli.

These games can be addictive and can cause other issues, such as damage to eyes or disrupting sleep cycles.
