As a classroom teacher then, now online help guide to my select and lucky angels, well, everyday hurdle has been tough, challenging and, sometimes, taxing on the psyche. Yes, its not all my learners have the capability to coping up simply because don't have the needed technology like android cellphone, iPad, desktop, laptop or any sexual educational tools a number of the lucky few have.

Well, because of the said situation, I, first, believe parents could take action worthwhile because of their kids' education by exerting all efforts to possess a functional cellphone befitting for an internet class. However, you can find varied main reasons why some parents would not have the ability to provide their children such due to poverty, joblessness, insufficient education or motivation maintaining current trends in education setup and delivery of learning especially this COVID-19 pandemic.

Anyway, you'll find benefits and drawbacks of distance learning, especially for blended learning, for children and oldsters alike.

PROS

1. Kids is now able to have plenty of time navigating the various applications around so as to getting lessons absorbed, applied to their daily grind.

2. Parents can easily see how their kiddos are choosing their learning time. They may even help them budget their time in order to do all task accessible sans getting other tasks left out. Teachers, at all like me, are sending home guide for his or her students, serving as reference, for their subjects to get taken to get a specific time, which has a number of minutes included.

3. Kids can instruct their skills in using the internet, say in researching to get a story you just read, an image to write an essay on, and info about important events of all time especially during holidays and other commemorative exercises in Social Science subjects, to note one.

4. Parents have the time to help you their kids using task in reading and writing, likewise the problems their children encountering in numeracy, science and so forth.

5. Kids also have enough time to be more talkative looking at their camera or what while answering questions, sharing stories along with other activities where speaking will be the target especially how they go to town, with confidence without the in person interactions.

6. Parents, mostly, contain the opportunity to learn also, kind of using a writeup on their previous schooling; obviously, with updated info where irrelevant ones have been changed to right one, particularly with Science subjects, say amount of planets, and the like.

7. Kids also have the opportunity to become world citizens learning everything about the internet of things and collaborating to learners around the globe. Yes, teachers must have somebody teacher from another country, say a Science class within the Philippines co-learning with Science class in USA concerning the different landscapes during wintertime, and, obviously the sunny weather in the Philippines. With videos, photos and so on, both learners over these two countries could learn a lot from each slide presentation shared through Google Meet, Zoom meeting, among other technological tools suitable for this purpose.

CONS

1. Kids no reliable net connection remain behind when it comes to online learning. However, with modules available around; well, all people have a chance to educate yourself on the concepts, samples and deep learning after a conscientious teacher implements enrichment or remediation programs for those who are looking for those. Yes, creativity is vital toward providing all the learning possibilities to kids facing technological challenges in online learning. Besides lacking those gadgets like android cellphone, lappie or desktop, internet load also gets a hindrance, for who is able to afford such when parents are jobless, in dire poverty and you know very well what.

2. Parents suffer stress all the more when their children cannot keep pace using peers, neighbors in competition using kids, and also other scenarios about unequal opportunities, a sad reality majority during my class is associated with this situation wherein keeping with the Juans doesn't seem possible to perform.

3. Kids, those people who are enterprising and all sorts of, make use of online cheating. Yes, there's a group chat where techniques to modules are being uploaded and a lazy bone will undoubtedly copy paste those and viola, get the perfect score, the recognition later much like highest honors and the like. Oh my gosh, this sorry condition of education could be a training ground for future leaders who won't do sane things but to self-aggrandizement, and the like.

There you go. If you happen to be free from such challenges, you happen to be lucky coping up with every one of these challenges, and would emerge victorious having continuity of learning amid this hard time. However, grit, resiliency and perseverance, could be our saving grace when facing these glaring realities. It doesn't matter what challenges come in our way toward teaching/learning journey, we are always expecting the best result through our very best effort. Keep head high, always. Keep safe, sane and a saint. Cheers!
