WRUP All DPS Players Are Sharks Edition

From Time of the World
Jump to: navigation, search

It's time for us to reveal a truth that many MMO players don't yet realize that all DPS players are sharks. If you're wondering why many DPS seem to be addicted to the mantra of the holy "GOGOGO," it's because the mere slowdown of an hour means that the players will be dead. They have to keep killing and swimming. This is the kind of thing MMOs do to the sharks. You don't need to ask what a shark does to play the game or type. The rogue who won't wait for the tank, healer, or any other DPS can't help but to do what he does. He's a shark.

One of the Massively staff could be a shark, however I cannot confirm or say it is. Maybe he or she announces his or her status as a shark in this week's WRUP or maybe it's just our usual review of our weekend plans as usual. You won't know until you read further but you can share what you're doing in the comments regardless.

@Beau_Hindman - I am definitely playing more State of Decay. It's a fantastic single-player game, and is definitely one of my most played games. For MMORPGs I'm experimenting with the limits of Minecraft's MMO-ness I'll be playing the latest patch of DC Universe Online, and I'll also be getting some action in Neverwinter I believe it is one of the most stunning and sounding MMOs out there right now.

@nbrianna It's going to be enjoyable!

@Eliot_Lefebvre - World of Warcraft is currently my side game slot. While there are aspects that I'm not thrilled with, it's something I love. Beyond that, I've got more Final Fantasy XIV questing and endgame shenanigans that I want to take part in and that's why it will be my primary focus.

@Sypster: I don't think I have any grand plans for the weekend. I'm currently in the countdown mode of Lord of the Rings Online Helm's Deep. I'm likely to play additional scenarios in The Secret World, and perhaps even play some of the World of Warcraft stuff the kids are loving these days.

@mvmatt: I have a weekend plan that includes soup, schoolwork and, if it's lucky some video games. I'll be playing Warhammer Online to remind myself why I left it (and reflect on the things that almost forced me to stay) before the servers close next month. Beyond that, I would love to revisit Guild Wars 2 or The Secret World. I've been neglecting them for a while. Perhaps perhaps, I'll cap some fools in Battlefield 4. MINECRAFT

@MikedotFoster - This weekend I'm checking out the Three Spirits Dota 2 Update. I'll also be returning to World of Warcraft; that Warlords of Draenor announcement has me all excited again.

@MJ_Guthrie: I plan to spend the majority of my gaming time (and I'll have some no matter what it is!) trying to get more done in the war on Filth in The Secret World. I would love that pet and the bee suit so bad and even though I don't think there is any way I can get enough tokens, I am going to try! Did I mention I am stubborn? When I'm not playing I'll be playing a scenario or two and testing new builds. I will also spend the weekend trying to figure out which race to make my own Channeler in EverQuest II. It's been narrowed down to Ratonga or Kerra. Once I get that, I will only require about 30 additional hours to tweak the look. Oh wait, then there's the whole name thing...

@RichieProcopio: This weekend I'll be drunk and hallucinating. No I'm not going to a frat party; I'll be paying the tower of nightmares a visit in Guild Wars 2 and see what Scarlet and her new serpentine friends have been up to in Kessex Hills. Oh, and Hearthstone!

Every weekend, we get together with Massively staff members to ask them "What are your top games?" (Otherwise known as: WRUP!) Join us to see our games-related activities. You can also find us in the comments section to discuss your gaming experiences with us.
